Heating cartridges
Heating cartridges are electrically operated tubular heaters for converting electrical energy into heat. On this page you will find heating cartridges for the high-quality Nordholm design radiators and towel warmers. The heating cartridges ensure that the electrically operated radiators can be brought up to the desired temperature in a short time and thus exude cosy warmth in the bathroom, for example.

Heating cartridges: Construction and connection
Heating cartridges have an electrical conductor inside that heats up when voltage is applied. This heating element is surrounded by an electrically non-conductive layer and a jacket tube. This ensures that the heating cartridges warm up safely and that the voltage is not transferred to the radiator, which is visible from the outside.
Nordholm's heating cartridges can be connected directly to the mains or via a conventional socket. The advantage of the former method: the heating cartridges can be plugged in and unplugged spontaneously like most other electrical appliances. Direct connection to the mains, on the other hand, often looks more aesthetically pleasing thanks to the omission of a visible cable and direct conduction into the wall. When deciding which heating cartridge solution is right for you, the positioning of your radiator is the most important factor. We supply a 1.5 metre plug cable for connection to a socket.
Controlling the heating cartridge output
Our heating cartridges are available in various output classes of up to 1,000 watts. This allows you to select the right heating cartridges for your heating system and the desired heating power. You control the strength of the heating in everyday use via an integrated, easy-to-operate thermostat. It has an on-off function, various levels and a timer for the power function with preset heating duration. For example, the thermostat can be set up so that a certain heating temperature is reliably reached every morning or every evening. The thermostats are available in the classic colour white or in chrome and thus fit discreetly into any interior.
Heating cartridges are ideal for summertime
Heating cartridges can be a valuable alternative, especially in the warm summer months when the central heating is usually switched off. If a combined connection with the option of electric operation or the use of central heating is available, heating cartridges provide heat at specific times during the transitional and in the hot season – without having to switch on the entire heating system. This way, you have perfectly warm towels even in summer and avoid freezing when getting out of the shower.
